Les Mis

LMA and I had to drive an hour to see Les Mis. I really liked it but she loved it more than the musical GASP- no way, it was good but not that good. For the first time I actually liked Cosette - I've always been team Eponine. The music is so much more powerful live. Now, how to get her to read the book...


And yes I made LMA close her eyes 3 times.

Happy

Just caught this one writing in her new journal about her exciting day. She kept turning around and then writing something down and when I asked what she was doing she said, "I think I'm obsessed with Barbies."

Great day!

Best Christmas Ever!!!

There were two really special girls in St. James this year! I think Santa was MORE than generous!

Barbie beds

My girls are in desperate need of a barbie doll house. I found this when I came home from shopping the other day. Let's hope Santa OR Grammie & Granddad pull through for them... 1 more day til we find out!

Plus, I put in a good word for them with this guy!

Smarty pants

This girl likes to read to us while we drive. Today we had a lesson on fossils. More than I ever cared to know but I'm so happy she still has her love of learning. She said today she wants to be a divorce lawyer... Well OK then!

The Final Countdown

I really hope the end of days is not tomorrow because I'm really excited for Christmas morning. We usually keep it pretty simple around here and the girls only get 1 big present and a stocking. BUT this year I kind of went all out and got them everything on their wish list and when they changed their mind - I went out and bought that too. Jason is not too happy but when he sees their faces it will all be worth it! Well here's hoping... I also hope LMA doesn't read this post on her Kindle.

Christmas coakeys

E pronounces cookies in such a cute way.
It was fun, yummy, but so messy.
I searched everywhere for holiday cookie cutters but could only find safari and sea animals. So I give you Lily - the Christmas elephant.

Teacher presents and secret Santa

The girls each choose someone in their class they thought was in need of an extra present and had the teacher put it in their backpack. It was signed from Santa. LMA understood the point but E could not understand why she could not hand the child the present and just say it was from Santa. So sweet to see the girls giving away one of their presents to someone they thought would really appreciate it.

Great day with the Lortz ladies! Wicked was really wonderful and so well done. I will take the youngest next time. I love making these memories. LMA is now at a sleepover - good thing she slept all the way back from StL.
