St. Louis Symphony

They were beyond amazing. I almost cried tears of joy. LMA gave Mozart and Beethoven a thumbs up. Note to self - play Haydn to put her to sleep and Beethoven's 5th to wake her up.

Parent/teacher conferences

So glad they have these for second semester too. So glad my girls are doing so well. So glad I work at a gift shop so picking their p/t reward is easy. So many reasons to be so glad...

Oh, The Places You'll Go!

I read this book to LMA the night before her first day of kindergarten and then wrote a letter to her that she can open before she graduates from high school. The letter is taped to the inside cover of the book.

I did read the book to E the first week of school and just now finished the letter that she too can read right before she graduates from high school. Sorry it's late E but you're still in kindergarten so I'm only slightly off...

I always think- if there's a fire, I'm grabbing the fam and this book.

Dumb ask

Jason and I were talking about something and I said, "Well that's just stupid." E overheard and said, "You can just say 'dumbask' - that's a better word for stupid." Just had to document her words of wisdom. Reminds me of LMA asking me to tell her about Quasimofo in the bell tower. Where do they come up with these things? Could you imagine if we had TV!

Egg throwing contest

What to do with those leftover expired eggs. Throw them and then make "egg salad." And only one hit me in the back!

So excited to be going to DC for spring break. Can't wait to share my hometown with the girls and Jason.

Off to Atlanta. Sure am going to miss the fam - thank goodness for FaceTime!

Prom

Saw Les Mis again. Loved it again. Jason said it would have been really good had there not been any singing. Should have had Grandma babysit him too.

Went shopping for my trip to Atlanta and these two wanted to have a little fun. When is Prom?

Then we bought origami kits but I didn't take any pictures of that process because there was a lot of frustration involved so it made the final product anti-climatic.

And finally - made and decorated sugar cookies again and true to our family tradition... under cooked the first batch and burnt the second.

But it was a fun weekend.
