...should change its tag line to:
Learning: Whatever it Takes... As long as it doesn't interfere with sports.
I think it's ridiculous that the elementary school has gotten out of school early, two days in a row, because of high school basketball games. I haven't talked to a single parent that is happy about this decision.
Let high schoolers either support the team or stay in school but middle and elementary schools should not be affected by these games.
And with that said... Go Lady Tigers!!!

The little things
Some nights I think I have the best little family in the whole world. The stars align and the little things that usually bother me don't matter so much. What matters is that LMA practiced her piano (without tears) and has her piece almost memorized. That E got in trouble and apologized all on her own. There is a pile of laundry as high as the washer but I didn't let it put me in a bad mood. Tonight we had J's b-day cake early and the girls went to bed all on their own, without any fuss. They looked so sweet when I went to check on them. Some nights I'm just lucky and grateful.

Cookies
LMA made cookies for their lunches tomorrow. She even served us - very sweet - both the cookies and the baker.

Fort
Movies are so much better when you watch them in your own blanket fort. Fingers crossed they get a snow day tomorrow! They need a good nights rest after staying up watching the Oscars. LMA was very happy Jennifer and Anne won. Me... hate to say it but I think I've outgrown them.

Movie Night
The girls stayed at Grandma's last night so J and I had a date night of dinner and a movie. I remember the good ol' days when I would see at least one movie every weekend.
Tonight is family movie night and in preparation for our trip to DC we are watching National Treasure - the girls enjoy pointing out things and saying, "We're going to be there!"
And just for fun, I rearranged the family room... again.
